Couch to 5K

I’m a very happy runner today!

It’s taken since before Christmas, regular appointments with a Sports Physio ( ouch and ouch some more!), daily exercises for three months and much, much reigning it in patience, but I’m back. Today was my first 5k run since the injury couch (IC). Whooppppppppeeeeeeeeee!

Now I just need to continue to rebuild slow and steady. What a great start ready for the better weather and longer days.

💪🏼🏃🏼‍♀️🙏

I have been so good at doing as I was told by my physio Floss! Keeping off tarmac has moved me to the trails more which was an aim for this year too!

This was my International Womens Day Virtual Run so I am awaiting my bling 😀🏃🏻‍♀️

Thanks for the initial lead on yoga sometime ago.👍

I’ve kept up the yoga throughout but at the worst of the pain I needed to adapt a lot to protect my knees. Also I like to do Pilaties.

Knees, how long have you got🙈😂😂

Following up on the yoga, reading mostly, but working on abdominal breathing.Intereted also in Vanda Scaravelli.Blows my mind the medical benefits of belly breathing and this ancient method that we are all born with.🤔🌟

Have to follow up on Pilaties

We spoke about the yoga scanning technique and I enquired from a MA instructor, he confirmed similar things in T’ai Chi.

Pleased for you and thanks for your son’s and your lead.🌟👏👏

.....and I'm very happy to read that you're running again :)

I will always feel heartfelt empathy towards the IC unfortunates, no matter how we get injured, and get injured we do, as the life dictates.

The Spring is just around the corner, and what better time to be back.

Enjoy!
