Week 3 run 2 after stretching and doing things right I'm devastated to have to succumb to Patellar tendonitis, I'm in searing pain... with the current lockdown I can't even lay my hands on a suitable bike to use instead of running to maintain activity.

I am so sorry to hear this!! I hope you are able to take some painkillers at least? Many people also find icing the area helps with pain - but be sure to apply ice only for a short period though, e.g.:

Here is a post about some pretty good seated exercises. Have a watch and see if you think you could do them with your poorly knee. You may well be best off waiting until the pain has subsided though.

I'm sorry to see this, but it does happen to many, it happened to my wife at about that week, best to rest up as much as you can using some painkiller, don't worry about not maintaining activity, you'll get back when the pain subsides..
