4 weeks on I with extensor tendonitis in left foot. At least 2 more weeks, as next week is my wedding and our partners are staying for several days.
Anybody has experience with tendon inflammation? When can I go back to running or at least safely try to run? It was my first incident and I know that I should allow it to heal fully to prevent from reoccurrance and chronic disease. The pain was awful for almost 2 weeks, now I have wierd feeling in the foot (not pain, but not good).
I guess I will be starting C25K from the beginning, again... The question remains - When?
Happy running to all of you! Enjoy every run, and enjoy the sun
Speedy recovery for the unlucky ones on the IC - patience is a wirtue.

Lady you are the recipient of some awful bad luck on your running... There was a link on the Beyond C25K Facebook page giving typical recovery times for injuries..
It said tendonitis - 3 -7 weeks recovery time. So rest up easy, enjoy your wonderful wedding day and you’re right patience is a virtue. That makes you one of the most virtuous people I know!
I think I am super stubborn and I WILL graduate this C25K programme, no matter how many years it will take me. Maybe even I will become famous and have a World Guinness Record with the longest time to complete 9 week programme
Doctor in E&A said that full recovery may take even 8 months. My tendinitis was detected very early, so hopefully the recovery will be shorter. After the wedding, I am planning to start light strengthening and stretching exercises. But was wondering when I will be able to run, as my mental health really needs it.
When the Guinness people interview you and take photos - can I be your press agent? I can confirm your grit and determination! Can you replace the running with walking with the dogs, I know it's not quite the same but it is outdoors....
Yesterday, I was on my first longer walk with my black furry love. I think it was something around 30-40 minutes. It was lovely but I started to feel my foot, fortunately not pain, but some kind of pre-pain feeling combined with stiffness and pre-numbness. It is very difficult to describe. Like it is not my foot...
So for now, I will stay with not longer than 20 minute walks.
The answer is when you feel ready. I have had extreme Achilles issues, which I won't bore you with, and from my own experiences, which I have detailed in here, do not rush back. Ensure you rest and as you stride if when you lift your ankle up as you walk you feel pain then you need more rest, more rest and then more rest.
My pleasure and I had to give up hill walking for 4 years so I know what you mean. I bought a foot stool as my ankle spent so long elevated but that was then.
