Well I went and did it struggled with stopping to walk for 3 mins between runs after the last run been 20 mins non stop. My breathing was fine but my calves were aching in parts however I did challenge myself by running up some hills maybe this was why? Any tips on how to prevent this? Would be very much appreciated.

Well done.

Stretching immediately after every run, nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/h... while muscles are still warm and supple, pulls out contractions, avoiding carrying tensions into the next run and also improves recovery by improving blood flow.
