I had a nice run. Took an extra day to rest due to calf and back ache. But started to do stretches after runs to ensure the tightness in calves is addressed. I do the NHS stretches with some added extras from the brilliant Bob Anderson Book of Stretching! Today’s run was in the morning and this felt much better than W2 R2 afternoon run. No tingling in my feet this time, as I loosened laces. Back good, calves tight but good, ankles perfect, back great. (From this Post you would not believe that I am overweight, hypothyroid, and completely unfit!) Upwards and onwards.

Well done for completing your run. I find running in the morning so much better. It’s cooler and you feel like you have more energy (unless you’ve worked a night shift). It’s ok to take extra rest days and if needed redo a run or two if you feel like you really struggled. Good luck with the rest of the program 😁
