Honestly I have been dreading this run for about two weeks now (if not longer) and worked myself up silly over it. All day I have felt anxious and sick just thinking about going! And although I wanted to give up a hundred times with all the inclines on my route I completed it! Literally soooo happy right now and can’t wait for my next run 😁 I put it down to reading all the amazing posts on here and everyone smashing it that kept me going!!!
Also.... does anyone have any tips to calm pre run nerves? I don’t know why I get so nervous before as I always enjoy the actual run when I’m “out there”.

I always get nervous too, like I’m going to let myself down! I have terrible sleep the night before a run too. I’m wondering if it’s because I like to get out before 6am so there aren’t many people?
Yes this is exactly how I feel.. I worry I am going to fail before I have even started! I also like to go when there aren’t many people about which is the evenings for me at the moment! It’s strange how our brains work isn’t it?
One of the tips regarding run 3 of week 5 and other runs is not to look ahead at future weeks or runs, wait for the instructions from your coach.
Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊
Thank you so much for the advice! Pretty sure I have memorised all future runs now unfortunately lol. But I will try not to look any more and just take it as it comes when I hit “start run”. Not going to lie I’m looking forward to a couple intervals again
With regard to nerves maybe read a few of the posts on here just before you go to inspire you or repeat a mantra such as ‘I can do this and I always enjoy my runs’ 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you! That’s exactly it, if for whatever reason if I don’t complete it I can just redo that run no biggie. I need to stop putting so much pressure on myself! 😌 I have to admit like you, it’s the feeling after a run I love more than anything!
Aw I’m glad! Thank you so much 😌 I honestly found all the posts on here so motivating which helped me massively in the lead up. Try and go at a nice slow steady pace and try to focus on the couple minutes ahead of you rather than the total amount left to run. That’s what got me through anyway. Good luck! You will smash it 😌
