First Run Completed

So I just started today. I have been wanting to run for so long and I am now carrying more weight than I would like so I decided to download the app and just go for it. It was hard!!! But I completed run 1! And I feel really good for it. At first because I'm not used to any exercise I found my ankles were quite sore but that went away over time as I relaxed I think (or I just stopped thinking about it... Not sure lol)

I know it's only run 1 but I'm so proud of myself for even managing to compete that as running 60 seconds was very hard for me! How did everyone else feel on their first run?

Also, I'm hoping it gets a little easier each time? Lol x

Nice one lola. My next run is wk6 run2. Yes it defo gets easier maybe try some gentle stretching for tired legs. I found week 2 & 3 a bit hard so I occasionally repeated a days run instead of going onto the next one. you could try that if it gets hard. Also keep moving dont go too fast but dont stop either

Well done, getting motivated to get started is the hardest bit which you've done. It does get easier, you'll have runs you love and some you find tough. Just find your pace and try to keep going, it pays off.

Thank you all. Although I found it tough I didn't find it unbareable which I thought i would have so I'm more positive about my next run already ☺ this group looks great too for motivation and sharing hints and tips so loads for me to learn from as I get further in my journey!

I did think that if I find it hard I could just repeat a couple of days so I'm glad that other people do this too, no point in rushing forward if I don't feel ready but I will keep you posted ☺ next run is Saturday xx
