W6r3 failed!! 🥵😩

So as it says. I didn’t do too well. I completed it but had to walk briskly a few times during the run. Absolutely gutted. Not making excuses but I found it too hot running this time of the day (I normally run around 8am) and I am ashamed to say I over indulged last night on beer! I hardly ever do that!

My question is shall I leave it two days and run the entire week 6 again or just repeat w6r3? I’m not sure it’s wise going straight for week 7? Anyone been in this position? I feel shit!!

Beer and Heat are two show-stoppers for me !!! You will smash it when hydrated next time :-)

Thanks. I hope so. I am not a huge drinker at all and I can take it or leave it but that and the heat was difficult 😢

Repeat after me: it's not a fail, it's a practice run. 😁

Lots of things can affect your performance. Personally, I'd leave it a couple of days and then try just that run again (at a cooler time of day). Its entirely up to you how you feel about it though.

Sometimes we all need beer. It sucks to have to pay a price for it though. You’ll do fine next run.

No worries, beer will dehydrate you which makes the runs extra hard especially in the heat. Water next time and you’ll hit your mark. 🙂👍🏼Also no time limits here. Just keep showing up and the results will come.

NEVER use the fail word here on C25K, practice run, perhaps what you had the previous evening did not help, have a extra day off running, drink plenty of WATER the day before you run, repeat run 3 of week 6, no need to repeat runs 1 and 2, good luck.

Don’t beat yourself up .... take a couple of days off .... eat well, drink plenty of water, good sleep and do it again. You’ll be fine 🏃‍♀️

I will try not to feel so down. Just had a little snooze now. I NEVER do that during the day. No more drinking for me a long while. Sticking to water x

Good preparation is crucial.......you can't just bolt on hard physical exercise and expect top performance if preparation is below par.

Oh I really feel for you! I think the others are right, call it a practice run and a lesson learned not to run after a heavy night, give yourself a couple of days off then I’m sure you will smash it! Good luck
