I failed to complete this run. Maybe it was to hot (26 degrees C even at 8 o'clock in the morning in Athens) maybe I have a mild tonsillitis, I was unable to complete it. Should I go back or try it again? Any advice welcome!
W6r3 failed!: I failed to complete this run... - Couch to 5K
W6r3 failed!
This one is a bit of a step up. It's ok to fail. It's how you react to it that matters. You will do it next time. And you will know more about what you are facing. Personally, I would do W6 R3 again, I wouldn't go back and do earlier runs. You will do it.
Think of it as a practice run not the F word - and try it again. Good luck - I'm attempting the same run on Friday and plan to go very slowly !!
You can do it! Go slower, make sure you are fully hydrated the day before! Clear your mind and focus! You have got this far you can do it! Positive mental attitude x
I'm not surprised you struggled in that heat ! You have not failed, you simply have completed a practice run. Give yourself 2 days rest and have another go.
I will be attempting the same run next week after having completed W6R1 tonight. 25 mins seems a long time but you know you can do it.
No f word on this site you've had a practice run next time you'll do it 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️
We never on the forum use the f word..blip, setback, practice run... but none of the friends on the forum ever f***
You did well and you are not on form. Don;t go back..just make sure you feel better. when you do.. you get up earlier... much earlier.. i ran before 6 a.m in the Dordogne last year...
Feel better and then move on slowly and steadily
You will succeed next time, don't worry. We all get there .
Are you mad??? 26 degrees and possible tonsillitis?? You should be resting and not running! Take it as a practice - REST - and try when you feel better. No point pushing yourself (and this run is a push) when you are not at your best.
Good luck for the next run x
Thank all of you for your support. I will try it again when I'm completely well. This forum is truly invaluable.
You didn't fail, you just had a bad run. It happens to all of us, whether we're new at running or seasoned runners. When you're better just try at 25 minutes again and see how it goes one step at a time. Good luck!
