Here's me thinking, how am I going to feel without Sarah talking to me, keeping me propped up? Struggled at 15 mins, but there's that mind over matter milarky.... no one will know if I cop out at 20 mins... you know how it is. But there's me in my new running gear , looking the part, even got sweat band on my wrist, be a shame to spoil the illusion... all that work so far to cop out, nah.... did what I thought was 30 mins from knowing my route, to find I'd picked up the pace some, under 9 mins per km this time, and done 1 min more.....so did ok , Thank you muchly, haha. I know I'm slow, will take me a while to get to 5 k, but one step at a time...

I'm impressed. wk 9 eh. I've only just started. I did a couple of weeks running and walking before I found C25K. So went in to wk 2, just done run 2 and id did feel tough at the start but by 20 mins I was OK and actually did one extra 90 second run. I'm a bit daunted by week 4, but thats 4 runs away yet. I've downloaded the MP3 version so not getting Sarah, I have a Laura and she's OK - Didn't want to take my phone as no pockets big enough.

How have you found it overall ? And massive congrats to getting to 30mins (twice) - top achievement 5K by May I'm sure. And you can't have all the gear and no idea - keep running.

I do have a Garmin watch and think the connect app is really helping the motivation as shows pace and stride and heart rate etc... Hoping it will help me more as the running parts get longer...

Well done you for starting the couch to 5k, I loved the ap. I'm 61 and overweight, so it was a bit of a challenge. I did find I seem to have a battle with my mind , you cant do it type thing. The body coped ok, breathing and heart rate steady, it was the mind that nearly undid me at times. I kept thinking I've got an ap that's saying I can do this, and this... who am I to argue? Professionals sorted it, be disrespectful to just cop out cos my mind says I cant. And I've done every single run. I only have a fit bit, but also used map my run, so I could inspect the details after. Each time it said I'd done better than the previous run. I'm loving it, one stone down in 2 months, will continue running every other day, with my dog a mini doberman pinscher, great company as he doesn't expect me to talk !!!

Well done Rigsy! If you’re not sure about timings etc, you could always keep repeating week 9 so that Sarah keeps you on the straight and narrow. It’s what I did but I eventually found that I didn’t need Laura and was able to ‘fly solo’. Enjoy those consolidation runs!

That's an idea, doh, why didn't I think of that.

Hey that sounds great 👍 I will do my first consolidation run this week but it does feel strange not ticking off runs in the app. I guess we’ll get used to it 🤔🏃‍♀️

I have run the same route for weeks now, so have an idea when and where I normally get a reminder, I found it quite uplifting to be honest, seemed like I was a big girl now, left to sort it myself...hehe
