Drum roll please! I would like to thank my family, friends but most of all you guys. Sending out a virtual bow to you all.
I must admit I didn't think today's run would go ahead as i over did it on W9R2, in which I ran 5km in 31:48 (well chuffed with that) I've spent the last few days with my sore calf (which has been niggling away for weeks). I had a walk around this morning and decided to give my final run a try. I tried to take it slow and steady but my calf once warmed started feeling better. When Laura told me to stop I decided to rebel again and kept going until I made 5k which I did in 32:58 a bit slower but I did it WooHoo!
There's no way I would have done it without the support and advice from you guys, You've helped with sore knees, sore calfs, rain and a good supportive bra :).
So what now? I've decided today I'm signing up for a local 10k in February so I'm going to work on 5k in 30 mins during the week and start adding some more distance to my Sunday run.
But before that I'm going to give my calf a few extra days rest and have a celebratory drink in the pub this aftie
Woop Woop Woop!

Ooh enjoy that celebratory drink in the pub, well done! Storming time too, I am in awe, of that & the fact you have signed up to a 10k already!!! Wowzers, go you!!!! Xxx
Well done Blue, fab stuff ! Excellent idea signing up for a 10k , certainly keeps you motivated and gets you out there .
Its good to have a plan. Theres loadsa 10k plans on t'interweb. Im using a Bupa 10K training plan for my Great Manchester Run next year and Miss Wobble is using a My Ascics one. They both work out a excellent training plan for you, and they are also interactive so you log your runs as you go.
Double Brucie bonus , jobsa good 'un !
Enjoy your celebrations this afty, you have definitely earned it xxx
Thanks Poppypug And for those suggestions. I've been googling all morning, I was hoping for Laura 2 but nothing. it's really hard to know which one to go for so I'll definately check those out
