Well did my first week 2 run this morning and found it hard but managed to keep going ... what is a good pace per kilometre for a beginner??? I know it’s about completing rather than time but would be nice to know how I’m doing?

Well done.

A good pace for a beginner is one that enables them to reach the end of the workout without stopping.

Compare to your former self, not others.

Comparison is futile on a forum with such a wide range of ages, abilities and disabilities.

Do you want to know how you compare to a twenty year old man, a seventy year old woman, a forty year old with chronic asthma or somebody else with your body and life history?

Do you get my point?

You are doing great.

Great you are doing it

How you are doing is about running for the time each run and nothing to do with pace, when you have graduated and consolidated you will find you naturally get a bit faster as you get stronger and will get to a time you can add in a few faster bits

Just be patient and you will fly along
