Not one, but two...

Yesterday, on my 5Km local Social Distance run, I came across not one, but two neighbours who are doing Couch to 5K. We waved (12 meters or so apart, of course). But my old body lumbering up and down the local roads has been noticed, and now the locals are copying me...

I'm much prettier than them, but that's just practice. 😄

Much love to you all, fellow runners...

ToF.

Yay! you are an inspiration to them theoldfellow. A vision of fitness and wellbeing., and they all want a bit of it. I think a few people have started running for the first time during lock down. Just think what parkrun will be like when it returns. Portsmouth is going to start it’s 3rd event in a bid to reduce numbers on the seafront run. I have seen a lot more family bike rides too. Some good has come out of this. Although I appreciate this forced time together is going to be a testing time for many relationships, as well as businesses.

UTS and I finished extracting honeysuckle, jasmine and roses out of a border yesterday. A job which has been on the to do list for a year of too. So many Intertwined, deep roots, but we got there in the end. Ready for some much lighter sweet peas - if garden centres ever open up.

Next job on the list .......

Keep safe, keep running.

Supermarkets often sell flower seeds (Sweet Pea are easy from seed). Mrs ToF, not a runner (yet), was asked to get some Runner Beans at Sainsbury's yesterday, but said they had flowers but no veg. Wilcos were open though, and had a big stock of veg seeds.

Glad you and UTS are keeping busy, and well,

I wonder if runner beans are good for runners ?🤔

Yes I did get some cut again lettuce last week so will look for sweet peas. Are Wilco’s open too? I guess they sell a lot of cleaning stuff.

False modesty is a big issue with me. 😉

Thank you (bows slightly, acknowledging the crowd) ❤

....and you do realise that now I think of you as...theprettyoldfellow...or should that be...the oldprettyfellow?

Seems like loads of people are using this time to start running. I can't keep up with all the new people on the forum.

I really hope that everyone carries on and that the bike riding families remember how nice their outings have been. Keep well!
