First fartlek run...

So after suffering with shin pain on my last 2 runs I decided to have 2 days break.

Back to it today, praying for a more comfortable run...

On week 4 of JuJu’s plan and had the 20min run left.

I thought I’d mix it up a little... searched Nike for something suitable and found a fartlek run, thought I’d give it a go.

Jeez that was tough 🥵 but I really loved doing something a bit different.

Been thinking about what other forms of exercise I can get stuck in to, so I downloaded 14 days free trial for Les Mills...

I got back from today’s run and felt so good, thought I’d give body balance strength a go. Honestly loved it, and feeling so good after it!!

Anyone else use Les Mills?

I used to use it for body pump and body combat, but there’s so much more on there than I realised!

Love discovering new things and feeling boosted 🥰🏃🏻‍♀️

Just a lil picture of my fave green sparkly trainers and lilac top - love this colour combo of running gear!!

Happy Easter everyone - hope you’re all eating chocolate for breakfast, lunch and tea!! 🐣 🍫

Great trainers Sar9. As good as any reflective jacket, you won't be missed in them😁

Just looked at that Les Mills site. Loads of stuff on there. Be interested to know how you get on.

Haha yep, certainly won’t be missed!

There’s lots isn’t there, the body balance felt like such a good way to end a run! Stretching everything out and relaxing. 🙃

Well done Sar9, you’re doing great 👍💪

I’ve not heard of Les Mills, but like you I also love trying new things and changing things up a bit with running and exercises.

Something I’m doing now is Ju-Ju’s plankety plankathon Have you seen that ?

It’s an amazing exercise for the core muscles, back, arms etc etc.

You’ll find details on this forum.

Great trainers 👟 by the way.

Happy running 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️👍

Thank you!

I used to use les mills for body pump, but didn’t realise they do all the other stuff too. Allot of gym glasses use les mills. I’d defo recommend checking it out!

I will look at the plankathon, I tend to avoid plant stuff as my wrists joints aren’t great, so putting weight through them doesn’t usually go too well!

Happy running too! 🙂

Thanks 😊

Will have to do an update once I’ve used it a bit more!! Be interesting to see if anyone else uses it too! I thought it was quite a popular one!

Les Mills originated in New Zealand and is a household name here with very good gyms in almost every town. My partner subscribes to the online sessions and really enjoys them.

Good to know :) I did think it was quite a popular in the UK 🤷🏻‍♀️ first heard of it at the gym as they did Les Mills classes...! Seems great that you can do it all from home.
