Time to try again.

So I completed the C25K just over 2 1/2 years ago. About 16 months ago I went through some serious bad times & ended up changing my job - but it all resulted in stopping running. I know I can do this because I have before but I’m feeling very daunted by the idea of starting again? I’ve put on a lot of weight and my fitness is awful now. Any tips?

So, whatever motivated you before gave 14 months of good experiences through running it seems? Sorry to hear you had some rubbish to deal with. Given that running helps mental as well as physical health, can only say that’s what I’m aiming at. Easter is about new life so I’m going to do it.

You’ll get there again for sure. All the best. 🏃🏼‍♀️

A shame that you came on difficult times. You're making a really positive step forwards now though. I completed a similar programme 4 years ago and ran a couple of 5k events (v slowly) with friends. But I fell by the wayside, put on weight, got glued to the sofa etc etc. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? But I started this again a few months ago and I'm loving it! It was really hard to start with but I think you'll find the memory that you've done it before will really help you to do it. I also cling to the memory of being fit enough to actually enjoy it!!!!

Good luck and keep posting. This forum is amazingly motivating and inspiring.

Well done you for coming back, just do the same as you did last time, slow and steady, stay hydrated and enjoy it 😊

Keep posting your progress, we’ll be right behind you 👍

Good luck 💪👊
