W7R2 - Lets try again

If you read my last post 9 days ago you will know that my first attempt at W7R2 didn't really get close. With a major surge of work, aching legs from weekend diy and I guess a bit of trepidation today is the first chance I've had to get back to the gym. Well not for the first time I forgot my headphones but just maybe they are the problem as I seem to do better without them. I dropped the speed by 1/2km/h to 6.5 and set off. It wasn't seamless as my calves still hurt but no where near as much as last time, it was a real push at the end but I managed it and did the whole 25 minutes. I will only get 1 chance next week for run and then have a week off on holiday so I;m thinking the next 2 runs are going to be just as hard and my 9 weeks will end up more like 15 to 18 weeks but onwards and upwards.

6.5 is my current happy speed, used to be 6.3 so I've gotten faster haha

Well done you! Slowing down really helps you to keep going, I would never have completed C25K without taking it slow and steady all the way. Enjoy your week on holiday, aren't you tempted to take your running gear with you? It's fun to run in new places!

No not tempted at all, I need a break. As previously mention I really don't love or even like running so doing it on my holiday is a non-starter.
