It was around this time or maybe earlier last year, I started running. Did quite well and actually lost weight to where people recognised it. I came across the C25K and never really got around to using it and starting the journey.
For reasons like life and general laziness I stopped running but decided to start again.
So... first run, what a fail 😂 I made two mistakes... not listening to my own music and running to fast. I got to around 14 mins and finished as reached my limit. I noted how unfit I have become!
I do feel good for actually doing the run but going to start over on Wednesday.
I am going to keep trying and learn from my mistakes! Fingers crossed! I might be 5K ready in probably... 12 weeks

There’s no fail there. You got out there and did 14 minutes that will make you stronger and fitter for the next time... something that great can’t be a fail. Trying isn’t a fail. Not trying is the only fail in this place, and that isn’t what you did.
You recognise errors and will correct them... so that’s learning as well as the physical benefits. Sorry, I can’t see a fail anywhere.
Aw thanks! Second attempt tomorrow!! Well excited! I’ve gonna have a banana and glass of water before I go. Another mistake, I don’t think cereal bar and cup of tea were a good combination
Tea probably not too bad, it’s diuretic properties wouldn’t have too long to kick in... cereal bar probably the opposite and wasn’t long enough before.
Great to hear you’re going back out tomorrow, winners don’t quit, when it seems impossible they work until it isn’t. You’ll do this programme I’m sure.
Hey jessm_01. Welcome! You'll get lots of encouragement and support here. I read up on the guides before I started and the one thing I took on-board over everything else was - 'go slow'. I've been outrun by tortoises, since! Hehe.
Keep going Jess, you will be able to do this. I struggled at week 1,gave up then started afresh a few weeks later. I had done a good bit of walking after I gave up,trying to walk at least 10k average a day for a week. Then I went back to week 1. I'm now up to W8R2,feeling great about myself for reaching this level. I run quite slowly,I'm not in a race, just plodding along until the minutes are done. Hang in there Jess, you won't regret it. Good luck.
Starting tomorrow! Well excited, doing the run yesterday did me some good. Felt like I hadn’t wasted my evening and slept straight through. Zoned out most of today but hey-ho! Who needs writing abilities for a day.
