This mornings run was filled with a little drama and resulted in me having to send a report into Cumbria Police. My run today was superb - I felt really good, and when the shout came over from Laura that my 30 minutes were up, I decided to continue further to the three mile marker. My performance had nothing to do with the bag of Cocaine that I found.
Yep, you read that right. And now, someone's pocket is £30-40 lighter after losing their nasal fix. I didn't feel one ounce of guilt in allowing the powder to 'blow' in the wind. Funnily enough, the run finished with ZZ Top singing I Gotsa Get Paid.
Over the past couple of weeks I've noticed my average pace improving as my fitness gets better. Now, I'm down to 11:31 min/mi - even my stride length is improving, albeit by millimetres. I don't think it'll be too long until I reach that 10:00 min/mi.
I've now got one run left of the C25K plan, which will either culminate in police dogs or drug dealers chasing me 😂
Thank you to everyone who has given their encouragement and advice over the last nine weeks - it's appreciated ♥

I felt an unusual amount of amusement when pouring the contents of the plastic bag into the wind. I bet someone was on their hands and knees desperately trying to find it last night 😂
Funnily enough, a few years ago I found some skunk in a plastic bag in a similar area. That met a similar fate - it went in my dustbin. I know an awful lot of people have dabbled, but it's just something that has never appealed to me. Lager used to be my poison, but I can't stand that nowadays. Drugs in life have sadly become normal. I was offered a joint in school when I was 14, so umm - 32 years ago. And, around five years ago I was approached on a carpark asking If I had any to sell - I must look real shifty 😂 😂
I'm really looking forward to my last run. I'm actually itching to go now lol.
Blimey, it’s a good job the cops didn’t turn up whilst you were holding it! Well done for disposing of it, but more importantly for your unusual penultimate run! I wonder what you’ll find on your final graduation run - lots of enjoyment I hope 👍😁
I'd prefer to see loads of birds than this kind of thing lol. L
I couldn't leave the bag when I spotted it in plain sight, especially when kids hang around that area. It did cross my mind that I was gonna get pulled by the police because I ran with it in my pocket for two miles before chucking it 😂
