Hi, I’ve just completed my first session one and am feeling a mixture of good I managed it and embarrassed that it nearly killed me (🙈🙊) and I sweated something terrible (sorry, too much info, just keeping it real!)
Anyone else feel this unfit at the beginning?

Hey!!! Massive congrats for starting!! Yes I felt the same way.... seriously! Iv just finished week five now and honestly I can’t believe the difference!! Iv done my first straight 20 minute run without stopping and I’m so proud of myself! Just KEEP GOING!!! Every week you’ll get better and better and you’ll feel so proud of yourself! You won’t regret it! X
Honestly that’s exactly what I thought. Yet here I am! I was hard today but you’ll be AMAZED at how quickly this plan gets your stamina and fitness up!! Just think, in 5 weeks you’ll be in the same boat 😁😁 I’m excited for you!! Xx
Wow, I’m so impressed - 20 minutes! I can’t even imagine at this stage! Well done! Thanks for the encouragement, I’ll try to just do one day at a time (with the breaks!) and focus on where I am.
I couldn’t imagine it either but I find this plan amazing! I couldn’t run 30 seconds without being completely breathless when I started! As the weeks go on you’ll be amazed at what you can do! I’m honestly excited for you! Let us know how you get on!! Xx
Absolutely 😂 I’m with you . I had to pass up on two of the runs because I couldn’t actually breath and looked at my husband and said I’m passing that one I’m not prepared to have a heart attack an he agreed 😂 which says a lot, he’d always get me to push past that feeling if I can’t go on , I must of looked like I was about to die. This is so bad I’ve never been so unfit. Onwards and upwards from here .well done we’ve just completed our hardest run and the biggest hurdle ....starting
Yes! I thought I was going to die after the first run. I graduated in March and I’m running for 30 minutes 3 times a week. I’m still bright red in the face and sweating by the time I’ve finished. Good luck with your next run and let us know how you get on 👍
Yes! That was me in March last year. In January this year, I ran my second half marathon. Don't worry about speed or distance, they will slowly increase as you get stronger and fitter. At this point it's just about building slowly and steadily.
The plan works, just let it do what it was designed to do.
