Feeling pleased with myself I've just completed week 1, run 1 at the third attempt. Will try to stick to the programme from now on.

Brilliant. Really well done.

Slowing down really makes a big difference doesnt it?

You're out of the blocks now! No stopping you!

Good luck and keep us posted.

Well done! Just do it all at your own pace, just because it involves running, don't think it's a race listen to your body and accept that aches are normal, but pain isn't. I'll be returning to my C25K quest early in the New Year after a few weeks rest. When I first started I juest expected that as I was now off the couch, I'd be running 5K in 9 weeks time, then I tried Week 1 Run 1! Now I know that when I (eventually) finish the course, I will be running for 30 minutes, but may not be covering 5K in that time. I am determined to get to the end, but in my own time. If that means repeating runs, or even dropping back a week to build my stamina (or more importantly rebuild my self confidence), then so be it. I will not move up a week until I have completed 3 consecutive runs (with the relevant rest days). I know how much better I felt after every run & every step forward. Keep posting on here as you go, the support you will get is exceptional. Happy New (Running) Year!

Thanks for your support. I won't push myself too hard as I know that would make me give up! I agree that slow but sure seems to be the way. Good luck to you and happy New Year.
