Finally left the house this evening, laced up, music on and Joe whiley telling me what to do. I won't lie, it was not easy π after two weeks sat on my bum, any fitness I had from chasing toddlers around at work has gone πΆπ but I feel elated, the stars were out, and it was really nice being on my own and a change of scenery. No one was around so I didn't feel self conscious, I just went for it π go do it people!
Week 1 run 1 : Finally left the house this... - Couch to 5K
Week 1 run 1
I did my first run on Saturday, so good to be out and about, congratsπ
Great job! We told you you could do it... but none of us said it would be easy... be very proud of yourself! Thatβs the toughest run done now... keep the pace down and your head up... and enjoy the headspace it brings you.
Well done you!
Great news! You won't regret it. I walked like John Wayne after the first couple of weeks (early January) but on Sunday I managed a 40 minute run. It isn't easy but it is absolutely worth it and you will feel so proud of yourself! Enjoy xxx
Yay! π
Great that you got yourself together and 'out there' and that you got a buzz from doing it. Long may it continue!
Top job Alice - you're on your way! As someone much wiser than me wrote on here a few weeks ago "when the run starts, you've won" :-).
Oh that first week! I remember it well from our 2018 start at a ripe old age! (66). Running for a minute?? A full minute??? With no stops???? But look where we are now. We not only been and gone and done it, but still dunning it! Love Parkrun and can't wait for its return. So keep on keeping on and best of luck with the course. Stay safe
Fantastic, well done! I was just checking to see how you were getting on, so pleased to see youβve got out there! ππ»ππΌββοΈππ»
Yay! You're going to smash this i can tell - a positive attitude right from run 1. Amazing!!!
Yay, well done! Enjoy your rest day and look forward to w1r2. I had Jo Whiley as my coach too and I really liked her.
