Graduation day tomorrow!

So, after starting out on this journey in early January and after a few hiccups on the way, predominantly ankle issues (not to mention lockdown and a worldwide pandemic), tomorrow will be week 9, run 3. I am so I proud of myself, I used to smoke 20 a day and hardly ever exercised. I started this journey after my 47 year old husband nearly died after going in to diabetic ketoacidosis followed by a stroke whilst on a business trip in the US. I had the biggest of wake up calls and decided it was time to grow up and start to live responsibly and healthily! I never thought I would be a runner, and now I am always thinking of the next run. This programme has been fantastic, perfectly paced and achievable and I will definitely carry on running. My next aim is 10k. During the whole COVID 19 pandemic, running has provided me with freedom, time to rationally think and has given me perspective. I wholeheartedly recommend this programme to anyone who wants to change their life for the better. It IS achievable. You CAN do it. And you WILL enjoy it!! Stay safe everyone! X
