Yipeeee... on 22nd December, I wasnβt sure this day would ever come!
Super proud for sticking at this; what an achievement! Donβt even care that Iβm not running 5k in 30mins - just the fact I can run for the amount of time is an absolute miracle π€£
There are always going to be bad days and thankfully good days, but overall the feeling that running gives you is just such a high!
From someone who has never been able to run even though Iβve tried on several occasions(always tried to achieve too much, too fast and always set myself up to fail), has pretty unbearable joint problems at times, I canβt praise the programme enough. Its broken down in to manageable stages which is so achievable; and most of all the community is just so supportive and motivating - would not have stuck at it without the wise words from all you lovely lot!
So here it is... programme complete... but only the start of my running journey.
What next!?

Huge congratulations Sar9 - itβs a massive achievement!. And you started at Christmas as well which really shows dedication to the cause! Enjoy those consolidation runs- onwards and onwards from here!ππππ
Congratulations to you Sar9 on graduating from C25K, well done, to get your graduation badge and the word Graduate next to your username follow Buddy34's link.
That is just wonderful! And you are running pretty quickly too. I graduated in April and I still don't make your speed, not that I mind, I am very happy being a snail! Just enjoy running three times a week for two or three weeks and when you feel ready for something else have a look around the site. There is some stuff about transitioning to more running after C25k and the bridge to 10k part of HU which gently gets you running further if that is what you decide you want to do! But right now, enjoy your triumph!
I guess everyone has their own pace theyβre comfortable at. I have noticed thereβs many that are faster than me. Least we are all doing it and not sitting on the couch!
Congratulations, you should be very proud. Itβs an amazing achievement and we all know exactly what it takes π as for next I ran week 9 a few times and then found the Nike running club app which has coached runs of many different lengths. Consolidate for a few weeks at least and then decide what to do. You could join the magic 10 and run for either an hour or 10 k itβs totally up to you π
No idea. Some good advice and options from other people! Guess Iβll stick to the 30 mins 3X a week for now. And then perhaps the bridge to 10k thing! Who knows! π¬
Well done you!! Like you I donβt care about distance. Just being able to run non stop for 30 minutes will be amazing in itself. You should be very proud of yourself π
Iβll be honest, I donβt know an awful lot about them. I actually borrowed this from my mum; and never gave it back lol π itβs a vivoactive HR. I love it and the information it gives you is great. But itβs a bit bulky and if I was going to buy one would perhaps look at something smaller/more feminine so I could wear it all the time. I think Garmins are very popular as they have the gps built in, so you donβt have to have your phone with you to track which is great. Happy buying, Iβm sure whatever you go for youβll love π
I have a Garmin Fenix 5x which has way more features than I will ever probably use but I got it for a massive discount and initially didnβt really know if I had done the right thing but after owning it for a month I now love it. There are lots to choose from out there so do a bit of research, some are superceeded by others now and can be bought, like mine, for really bargain prices. They all use the same app though so you pretty much get the same reports no matter which one you cheese.
