Getting my mojo back

Well spurred on by my better performance on Wednesday set out today on my 3rd consolidation run. Lovely morning, cloudless sky and at last my usual entry into the forest was open no longer did it resemble a mud bath! This avoids the really steep climb up to the next entry point (along with another steep climb on the way back)

So I was back to 30 minutes today, didn’t get to 5K but I don’t mind anymore, it will come, I’m 63, hadn’t run until 10 weeks ago, so I think I’m doing OK. Trying out some of the drills on my new farming watch to try to improve my running style.

The world is a frightening place at the moment so if I can get 30 minutes of escape three times a week can’t help thinking that that’s no bad thing.

Love the people on this app some of them feel like real friends and I really do hope that maybe when the craziness stops we could meet up at a Park run somewhere.

Well done for getting out there, Phdgranny. It is hard to motivate in all of this but running still helps the brain. 😎👍

I'm with you there. Btw I'd be interested to know what a 'farming' watch is... 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hahaha I meant Garmin, predictive text rides again!!

I know what your mean about finding that 30 minutes to yourself three times a week. I do love my tribe at home, but oh it is good to escape and get a little personal space in the outdoors each day, whether it's a dog walk or a run!

I’m lucky I get both together as Tia comes with me on my runs, I don’t think I would get out of the house without her!

Wouldn’t that be a great goal 😊

You’re doing great getting out there and running , don’t worry about 5 k.

I had a nice run yesterday and in these times it’s such a good thing to do.
