Went out to the big park near me for my run today as my usual route along the canal is too crowded and in places impossible to maintain 2 metres distance. I couldnt believe the number of folk walking in the middle of the path completely not bothered by keeping a safe distance! Im sorry to say that I also saw a few runners overtaking walkers at close distance as well. Bleeding lemmings, the lot of them!!!
However on the bright side, all the weaving in and out and round about to avoid the lemmings took my mind elsewhere. Run duly banked but was gutted to find that I had forgotten to start Strava and I felt like this was a great run today despite my grump! Never mind - I'm looking forwards to ticking off those final runs!

Well done for all the weaving! It is weird how many more people are out and about than usual. I know people who don't usually go out for walks who are now going out - madness!
Goodness Fionamags that does sound rather worrying, I fear this is the reason other nations have eventually had to confine people to the their homes completely.....I really hope that doesn’t happen here but I can understand it if there are just too many people in some areas to keep a safe distance
Sorry about your Strava, so annoying when that happens and it’s a good run but glad to hear you had somewhere else to go and that you had a good run anyway and are looking forward to the next 2 weeks.
Well done Fionamags! Sounds like you may need to look for a new route to keep yourself safe. I'm considering it. Most moved out of the way but there were a few that didn't and left us no where to go. One dog walker stood in the exit of the park with his dog's lead stretched across while the dog emptied his bowels. We had to just stop and wait while the dog finished and he cleaned up. 🙄 Luckily it was after our cool down walk.
