Some of that was horrible, but...

We ran 5k up the hills down the hills over the downs.

Next time my phone says windy I’m not going up there, we jiggled and we joggled and the sun shone and it was beautiful, we split up after 1k so i could run on and Willow could take a shorter route, but then i turned round and it stopped being fun and turned into a battle, one foot in front of the other slow slog up the hill against a blistering wind met up with Willow and dived into the woods, this way said I that way said he so i followed him he was in front. Back where we started almost and the air was colder further up the hill

The world his wife and all their dogs were through the woods, dogs not used to the freedom of the wide open spaces we could hear them and there they were, they ignored us as we ran through them back downhill now towards the car.

Just on 4k so Willow got in and i ran down the hill, i just wanted to run on road instead of tufts of grass stones and roots that’s a steep hill

So, to recap, yesterday i read that in one country there was no outside running I think it’s Italy but might be wrong, we live in a tiny flat and if we are a bit lazy struggle to top 1000 steps in a day, so while we can we will run outside every day even if it’s only for five minutes

I did a short sprint finish and today i ran for everyone who would have but can’t go to parkrun

Stay safe and well my virtual running buddies you are all awesome

It was my slowest 5k ever but i’m happy

Thanks for running for me today while I can’t sola. I’m hoping running is not stopped here as it is so good for us all. I think we are a long way from that. Keep safe, keep running

Thank you and i did think of you as i ran into the wind and looked across at the sea

As we are nearly at a year I’m going to run every day even if it’s only five minutes so tomorrow it’ll be five minutes

And i’m thinking if they say stay indoors I will run to work it’s less than a mile each way so won’t be too hot and sweaty when i get there

I can’t stop work because i work with people

Stay safe and how are your injuries healing?

Walking is much easier now and I’m hoping my physio appointment is not cancelled on Friday due to restrictions.

Well done to you both...it is a windy day here too. It certainly takes your breath away. Inspirational idea to run for others that can't. Boris does seem determined that we will do our exercise outdoors whilst we can. Should that change I have visions of you both charging up and down the steps like in the Rocky movie. ;-)

We don’t have steps lol but we do have a decent sized communual garden out the back that is fenced and hardly used so some time outside will be possible, but they won’t stop me running to work unless i’m ill i’m just wondering how to run with a laptop briefcase type thing though maybe Willow can drive it up for me

Well done . Against all odds. Staying in with one another is fine but you do become a bit stir crazy so getting out in to the fresh air is truly a great feeling isn't it?

I'm absolutely fine. Just staying out of the way. I'm asthmatic although it's very mild so my children are telling me to stay home etc. I live in a rural location so don't see many people anyway which is handy in times like these. You two stay safe and well and enjoy your time at home 😉

Thank you it’s only til Monday for me, then back to worrying about others

It’s my grandsons 15 birthday tomorrow and i’m going to see him, he is well i am well and i might just have a hug while we still can

My granddaughter is 17 five days later and just had her A levels cancelled, like a whole age of youngsters she’s devastated so she might have a hug too but we are being sensible

That's what I am missing - the hugs. My daughter and her boyfriend are self isolation as they were in touch with someone who developed a cough. When they're clear they're coming home until it's all over. We have their dog at the moment. Our future daughter in law's Café has just had to close to the public- takeaways only. It is now a different world.

The world is changing and people are having to change, enjoy the dog and look forward to the hugs, yes I miss them being little but I’m now glad they aren’t

Oh 59er, hard on your future daughter in law and her cafe. I do think the food people are being great to turn themselves into takeaways & deliveries so quickly. Best of luck to her, and all of you.

Thank you Granspeed. We're all having to adapt. Some in a big way some not quite so big. She is lucky, a lot of us are. It could be a lot worse.

Good running, Sola (and Willow too). That wind was vivid this morning! We only did a walk, and not even on the coast, so I think you get a special Virtual Medal for braving the downs. 😄🎉⭐️

Awesome effort! I had similar experience of windy weather on one stretch today and couldn’t quite believe how much harder it made it. Couldn’t wait to get back into the woods. 🌳🌲🌳

It’s been wild today and not expected, washing is blowing nicely though out there

Well done - it is so cold and windy here too! I'm sure there will be more people out in the parks and countryside at the moment because of not congregating indoors, so it's best to get out there while you can! Take care of yourselves.
