So on some good advice...

A while ago Unfitnomore put in a post that all runs should be easy runs now, no pushing for speed or distance, so taking that advice I set off, for the first time alone, Willow has put his back out!!!😮

I stayed about 1k from home, took it really slow and easy, felt a bit lonely, I hadn’t actually realised that i really do talk all the way round.

I crossed the road for people and a few crossed the road for me we smiled and said thanks

I turned to run round the industrial estate passed the garage that used to fix my car, passed a park full of coaches that would once have been out on the road.

Headed back through our local favourite running park, alongside the lake, through the small car park full of cars, in fact if it wasn’t for the cars i probably would have had the place to myself, frowned at groups of youngsters sitting at picnic tables sharing bottles of water, ran on, through the back of the park round our usual track, and home,

Stripped my clothes off and bundled them in the washing machine

Jumped in the shower and am sat here with a lovely cup of tea

Was it easy? yes, it was flipping lovely just a gentle run

Stay safe runners and enjoy every minute you can be out running because it’s looking like exercise outside our own home could soon be off the agenda but let’s be positive, one day we will all be out running again, races and park run will re start and we will feel awesome and proud that we can run

Good run for you today Sola, so Sola ran solo🏃🏾😊, you are enjoying your runs and taking great advice from Oldfloss, so glad to hear that you enjoyed your cup of tea after your run.

You do have a point about how long we CAN run alone outside, it depends on how many people are defying advice not to go out in groups this weekend.

Well i decided to stay away from the seafront as have seen photos of it being busy not far from us, the park annoyed me though to see groups of people sat around picnic tables sharing their drinks but i ran on and felt good that i can run, it’s only a little car park but there were a dozen cars which is a shame

I said that... and then roseabi made me join the speed challenge over on the marathon forum 🤣

Can’t beat a really relaxed no pressure no target run though... I’m having to cap mine at 5k and only once a week, but loving running them easy.

Hope Willow is back in action soon. Great job today... when the events start up again you’ll really benefit from turning the effort level down a little now.

Stay safe and happy running

Thanks, i’m walking to and from work tomorrow so that’s my exercise but my next run i thought i’d do intervals just very close to home, I’m really slow and we don’t push ourselves, it was odd though running without chattering away, Willows back is easier now he will join me on the next run i’m sure, I think he secretly likes social distancing and staying in because it’s what he usually does a lot of

I love being out, i was gutted about my car but found i enjoyed the walk to and from work as it gives me time to clear my head

Thanks, I didn’t really have a plan just didn’t want to go too far from home, I just went nice and slow and carried on running, it was quiet though
