So I just finished my last run of week 1. Feeling proud of myself but very nervous about week 2 as I have suddenly realised how unfit i am! šŸ˜ any tips on moving up to 90second run??

Be proud, and trust the programme. You will be ready for week 2. If it starts to hurt, just slow down a little. If you do have to repeat a run here and there on your way through, remind yourself of the First Rule of C25k: The only run you fail is the run you donā€™t go for ! Go you āļø

Well done for getting started NewbieinDundee. Don't be nervous, the plan is brilliant and it works. I started in September on my 62nd bday and never looked back. My tips are 1. Keep it slow and steady all the way to graduation. Don't run faster or further however good you feel. 2. Always take your rest days, more rest days are better than less. Never run on consecutive days, ever! This helps avoid fatigue and injury 3. Post regularly on here. This forum is brilliant for advice, support and motivation. Good luck, trust the plan, you'll smash it!

Thank you steviej99! I run on a Tuesday and a Thursday on my break at work and then a Saturday. Going to try and stick to this schedule! Big well done to you starting at 62 - some mega motivation from you!

Lots of good advice here Newbie - take it slow and one run at a time. Each run is preparing you for the next one. Trust the plan and youā€™ll be fine!

I am in your shoes! Maybe not literally... just finished week 1 run 3 today (+ a bit, I did Parkrun last Saturday before starting C25K and again on run 3 today). My knees are killing me! Need to rest, ice and recover. I too am worried about going up to 90 seconds as 60 is enough for me to feel like I canā€™t run further!

45:43 5k at Parkrun today and determined to improve week on week!

Hi Tealtrainers! What is ā€˜park runā€™? Iā€™ve seen it mentioned here a few times! Thatā€™s fab and congrats on completing week one too šŸ˜ Iā€™m sure next week we will be running 90secs no problem, itā€™s just the thought isnā€™t it?!
