Coming down with something, so took extra day of rest. Was dreading run. Extra days seems to impact motivation. Run went fine. Shocked to see I have 4 runs left to get the app gold cup. As silly as it seems, I haven’t wanted anything more than that completion cup. All the blood, sweat, and tears. Yeah us.

Hope you’re coming down with something minor, or a minor dose of that other thing. Great job on the run... that cup is gonna be yours soon, and we’ll cheer you as you stand atop the podium.

There are a few vitamins important for those that do running. One that I've started taking is Zinc - it helps with the immune system. I noticed early on when starting the C25K plan that I was getting cold sore after cold sore. I hadn't had them for around five years. I can only think over exertion was causing them - and reading up, it is common in runners... Although I don't class myself as one just yet.

On a side note, this letter on Snopes is very interesting. Make of it what you will. I'm no expert - snopes.com/fact-check/zinc-...

Does not seem silly! Seems perfectly normal. You’re just catching Running Bug. 😳🤔 Don’t worry. You will just get addicted to running info, fresh air, and this forum. It’s pretty benign as long as you don’t get a bad case of Shoe-love, and that can usually be controlled. Happy running towards your medal. 😄👏🏼
