Went out for a morning run today given the deteriorating weather situation and W6R3 completed. I wouldn’t say it was easy today as mentally I was full of doubt, clock watching and listening for Laura who seemed to have gone very quiet!!!
Once I heard the 20 min call I was happy and felt mentally better. For me at the moment it seems a battle with my legs, I never feel out of breathe but the niggles with twinges, aching ankles and knees is my main hassle. With just 3 weeks to go I’m conscious of having plenty of rest between these longer runs and if each ‘week’ stretches out over 7 days so be it. Even though I’m keen to graduate I want to enjoy the longer sessions and learn a bit about how my body is coping...
According to Laura though I’m a runner, who’d have guessed!!!

A great run today. My run week is a calendar week and that extra rest day is good.
Thanks Dolly-dot, so far I’ve stuck to Mon, Wed then Fri or Sat but I’ve a few commitments looming that will disrupt that so may take advantage to squeeze in some extra rest!!
I thought we were runners at the end of week 5 😂😂😂 but well done to you. Looks like I may have to do mine in the storm tomorrow. Or take a couple more rest days 🤷♀️
I believe we are runners after W1 to be honest but my app is telling me I am today!! The weather looks shocking tomorrow, not so much the rain but here in Swansea we have 60-70mph wind forecast which is probably a bit silly to run in, something might hit you!!! Could be handy as a tailwind but knowing my luck I’d be running into it, glad I went out today!! I’d be inclined to rest a bit more and wait until it passes💨🌧🌧💨
Thanks Wenderwoo I’m extra aching tonight as after my morning run we took the houndies for a forest walk and they managed 3 miles so I’m well and truly shattered! Rest day tomorrow and I’ll see if I’m ok for W7 on Monday, 25mins again oh joy...
