Week 6 done and dusted!

I was really apprehensive about Week 6, especially Run 3 with what seems like a big step up to running 25 minutes non-stop. But I have done it and I feel like I am on Cloud 9, can't quite believe it! In fact I actually enjoyed today's run more than runs 1 and 2 with the walking in between - never thought I would be saying that!

That’s incredible Debston. I’m on W4 and so inspired by posts like yours. Keep going and enjoy!

Aw, that's great - W4 was when I was on holiday in Cornwall and I really had to force myself to get those runs in instead of just sitting on the beach eating fish and chips!!! So glad I did though. Good luck with the next run!

Well done! I did W5R3 today and was very apprehensive beforehand as 20mins seemed a big step up. You have inspired me to get to W6R3!

Well done - that was me last Sunday. Dreaded it beforehand but quite enjoyed it once I got through the first five minutes! Hope you're feeling proud of yourself now and onwards and upwards to the next challenge...

I am feeling proud. Thanks. Yes funny the first 5 mins was the hardest. When Jo Whiley cut in I was sure she was going to tell me I had done 10mins but it was only 5! But it got better. Onwards and upwards to you too!

It’s great isn’t it?! I wonder if those early w6 intervals are about making us want the continuous running again! You’re going to love the next 3 weeks. And if you ever feel you’re struggling, just slow right down & you'll do it!

Lol, not sure I can go any slower without actually going backwards, especially up hills... 😅 I need to find a couple of local routes that are on the flat before I reach Week 9!

I learned to run in flat as pancake country! And slow, I think as long as your not lying down your ok!! I run following the Japanese slow jogging technique - so I’m very slow indeed!

Ooh, not heard of Japanese slow jogging, will have a look.
