And came down with a virus, so have been laid up for a week and still feel rough today. I was so happy to be told I’m a runner by lovely Laura at the end of the last run, then the next day felt soooo tired which I put down to my decrepititis! Next day that was it - ill.
Good news is my 10 year old came on the 25 minute run - he complained quite a lot because my run is slightly too fast for his walk (I was quite relieved that I do indeed go slightly faster than a 10 year old walks!!! 🤣🤣🏃♀️) and his running speed is about 3 times faster than mine so he had to do a disjointed run walk effort all the way round - but he wants to do parkrun now which is amazing given it’s not a computer running game but actual real life 😁
Anyway am keeping motivated by reading books about running - but I have at least stopped preaching to my husband about how brilliant it is ! He is I’m sure very happy about that 🤣🤣
I can’t wait to get back out - it’s been a week of no runs. I don’t feel any better today so it’ll probably a few more days 😭😭will probably drop back a week at least in the program just to be sure but I don’t mind that now. The planned 50th Birthday parkrun with my brother is off too but I’m in this for the long haul so am patient, we’ll just rearrange🏃♀️🏃♀️
Knees have been painful all week too even though I haven’t run - am a little worried about those!
