I did Consolidation Run #2 tonight. It was so much better than CR #1. I listened to week 9 of the app while I ran. I’m not ready to let go of Jo yet. I ran a different route too, which made it more interesting.
I went on a shopping spree today to Decathlon. I bought 2 running leggings, 2 running tops, a lightweight zipped jacket and some socks.
I felt so embarrassed going out in public wearing running leggings tonight (I have chunky thighs) but I get why they are better. They’re so much easier for running than jogging bottoms because the fabric slides against itself.
Anyway, I’m keeping on keeping on. Hope all you other new graduates are doing well.

As a fellow chunky thighed lady I feel your pain. But now I’ve hit the grand old age of 50 I care less and less about what other people think and instead do things for me. The more running you do the more confidence you’ll have in all areas of your life. Happy running and shopping 🛍 🏃♀️
Thank you! I’m 46 so I know what you mean about caring less what people think as you get older. The leggings were WAY out of my comfort zone but now I’ve been out once I’ll be ok next time. I never thought I’d be buying running gear!
I bought some “men’s running tights” a few weeks ago. Not ventured out in them. Thought did wear them under shorts for cycling through our local woods, to stop my legs from getting shredded by brambles. Running in them......not that brave yet! Waist down, I’m not too bad, but the gut hanging over the top so probs not too appealing. 😕
I have not got the most elegant legs (understatement!!!) but I do run in leggings, they stay put, and no chafing.
I have always bought really funky designs as I feel they take the focus off my leg shape.
Also they make me smile and are highly addictive 😬
After 2 years running I have just started to experiment with running at different times, it was always around 06.00 but it's easy to put off a run due to being tired.
Twice this week I have been clocked by neighbours, both admired my leggings. In my mind they didn't even notice my chunky thighs 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well done I used Laura Week 9 Run 3 for about 40 runs after graduating. I started to run same route so knew where my 5 mins warm up ended so would start C25K there and that way increase time with Laura so then had a choice of 30 mins, 35 or 40 mins with her and thereby increasing my distance.
