Just finished run 2 and feeling good but kind of dreading the long run - I live in Italy so we are on lockdown (lucky enough to have a treadmill..) I started for physical and mental health - I've been type 1 diabetic for nearly 30 years, no complications yet but they loom and I want to run away from them! Now I feel like I'm running to boost my immune system too...ok I've given myself enough reasons to do it - rest day tomorrow then I'll face it!
Will I be able to do week 6 run 3?: Just... - Couch to 5K
Will I be able to do week 6 run 3?
You can do it. And I wish you well during lockdown. Take care.
Good luck and take care 🙂
It's great that you have the treadmill to use as the lock-down limits you. My nana (Grandfather) had Type 1 too. Had been diagnosed when he was in his early 20s. It was a challenge to manage, especially as he had a sweet tooth but he did it, with exercise, insulin injections and a loving, attentive wife who ensured he didn't over do the sweets
Best wishes to you as you cope with the situation there in Italy. Wish you many, many happy runs, even if those in the near future are limited to the treadmill.
Thank you! Nice to hear encouraging words about your grandfather too. I've used the treadmill since the beginning as it gives me more confidence that if I go hypo I'm not far from home (and I feel too embarrassed to run in my small town but that's another issue and maybe when I graduate I'll tackle that too!)
Yes you will. I don’t know how or why but when she says at the start (if you have Laura) that it’s more mental than anything take her word for it. Just keep plodding on, imagine yourself pleased for the rest of the day having completed. 👍
Do not dread any run.........adjust your mental approach.

You can do this.
You have nearly done this 😊. All you need to is take the next runs slowly, just make sure that you run for the prescribed time and you will be there, and we will be here to say “well done” 😊👏👏👏👏
