So its been 5 months since my last run and i have been in a bad head space for a while since my mum passed and i have had plenty of opportunities and reasons why i shouldnt keep up the running, lack of motivation, whats the point, bad weather, its too dark etc etc (you know the deal)
over the last couple of months i have been listening to podcasts by Dr Rangan Chaterjee and Rich Roll and have started to take interest in the guests and what they are talking about, see that we are pretty much the same and start to like myself a bit more. The only issue i had with these podcasts after listening was there was no action.. A bit like talking a good game without actually kicking a ball.
So this morning i was up early again and the thought hit me why the hell am i procrastinating all i need is a pair of shorts, top and trainers and i can just go out and run and the best way of doing it is abit of encouragement from Michael Johnson!! Decided to start at W5 R1 and see if it was too much or too little but in the words of goldilocks it was just right!!!... Now just need to keep the motivation for tuesday and break the CBA cycle... Have a great sunday...

Thanms Helen its been and still is tough but want to get back in a good place from 6 months ago
Welcome back Pdb48. Fantastic that you are back, especially after you’ve had a difficult time lately, sorry for your loss. Losing your mum is such a big deal, I’m only just recovering my zest for life after losing both my parents 3 & 4 years ago so be kind to yourself.
You are already a runner and have achieved so much, have a great day yourself 😊
Go for it strangethings.. You get in that deep pit and think i just cant be bothered but my mum was ways a fighter and its time i felt good about myself.. If you get chance have a listen to the podcasts i mentioned and im rooting for you today... Enjoy the the freedom... Paul
W ell done for getting yourself back out there again, it must have been especially more difficult after your loss, but the longer you leave it the harder it is to come back. You sound determined to me and have obviously given yourself a kick start. Welcome back, I am sure you'll soon start feeling the benefits of all of this, so well done again you.
