So started my 2nd week today, I know I only just finished my first week yesterday and should rest for a day, but I've got a couple of hectic days coming up so needed to fit it in today.
Was a bit worried about stepping it up from week 1, I even contemplated doing week 1 again to make sure I was ready, but to be honest with you it wasnt that bad.
Was happy that I did it and happy with the way the program steps it up slightly and doesn't push you beyond your boundary.
Cant wait till Thursday now for 2nd run

Safely wise it’s better to take rest days in such circumstances, but great job on the run. You beat the toughest step up last week, 0 to W1R1, and now you’ve just done the second toughest... don’t worry about the others, you’ll be ready!
What new runners have to realise is that it is not what you can do that matters, but what your body is conditioned to do.
When you run, the impact creates microtears in your muscles, which repair and strengthen on your rest days, not while running. Without rest, repair and strengthening are compromised and injury risk increased.
We are all capable of doing way more than our bodies are conditioned to do, but not without increasing our injury risk. Sticking to gently progressive training plans is the safest way to push our limits, whilst gently increasing our resistance to injury.
If you want to be the best runner you can be then do non impact cross training on rest days, not running.
You get away with it until injury strikes.........then you have to stop completely for days, weeks or even months..........is it really worth the total gamble........experienced runners on this forum will say NO!
