About to start Week 2...

So I have been so keen and excited, but my last run of Week 1 still felt quite tough (even though the 2nd run felt easier...).  Now I'm feeling a bit generally unwell but am due to start Week 2 tonight.  I don't want to try it and fail but at the same time I don't want to slip on the programme so early.  Any advice?

Hi fellow week 1er! Although I don't know for sure I would think you're better doing week 1 again until you feel better and then move up. At least then you won't get disheartened if you can't do it. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

Start week 2. Take it slowly and then even slower. Don't worry about repeating runs if you need to. There's no hurry to go through the programme, just do it in your own time.

Thanks this is what I did yesterday in the end, and although it was hard, it was do-able!

OI! No such thing as a 'failed' run! Only a run that wasn't the one you planned. Why not try week 2 and if it doesn't quite go as planned, turn it into another week 1.

If you really don't feel well there's no point in pushing yourself too hard and making things worse, on the other hand it might do you the world of good! Even if you find you have to abandon it altogether, it's still not a fail, just an extra run for the running bank.

All the best whatever you decide.

Thanks I tried Week 2 and I'm glad I did! It went OK!  I took it very slow.
