Sunday roast, and a run

Had a delicious and huge Sunday roast at 6pm yesterday with all the trimmings and a dessert...then at 9am this morning set out on Week 9 run 1.

Not sure the preparation last night was the best 🀣, and despite wet β˜”οΈ and very windy 🌬 conditions this morning I made it through the 30 min run πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ πŸ˜…

Note to selfβ€” next Sunday, avoid extra spuds πŸ₯” ( not easy ) and humongous pudding before setting out on a run next morning. I am mainly good and restrained with what I eat these days ... just Sundays are a little issue with that roast !

Most importantly, 9 weeks ago I never thought I’d be able to run for more than 5 mins without stopping. With this brilliant programme and some determination, now I can do 30 minutes running without stopping.

I can do it, and so can you.

Happy running πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ πŸ‘πŸ’ͺ

Dinner sounds lovely (even if I have been plant based since January!) Yum!

Well done on the run today too and thanks for the inspiration πŸ‘πŸ‘

Yay, well done 😊

I'm sure the roast helped πŸ˜‚

I was going to do run 2 this morning, but I chickened πŸ” out - the rain β˜” and wind πŸƒ sounded terrible from my bed πŸ› ❕

I may go later, but it's more likely to be tomorrow

Thank you Joanney πŸ™

Yes, bit of a rubbish day today weather wise.

Good luck with your own w9 r2 ( or it is r3 ? ).

Will do πŸ‘ πŸƒ

Amazing MartinKH, you are almost there.

And I know what you mean about the food, most of the time I can restrain myself but there are times (and certain foods) when will power just goes out the window. :-)

2 runs to go and then it's GRADUATION, well done you! :-) :-)

Thanks very much indeed, yes I can’t resist a delicious roast and don’t feel the least bit guilty for enjoying it so much.

As for the pudding after ?? Maybe a little bit. 🀣

Happy running πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Well done on the penultimate, penultimate run! Any possibility of changing a run day to a Sunday? Then you could have your cake and eat it 😜

Thanks Wenderwoo, good idea to have the the run on a Sunday ....but that’s one of the days I try to play tennis 🎾 on ( fortunately indoors bearing in mind the weather recently β˜”οΈ).

I will still have some cake 🍰 on Sunday though.

Yes, well done MartinKH ! Sunday roasts are irresistible aren't they, but then your body is basically a machine that needs fuel in order to perform plus, you have earned well deserved treats for getting so far into the programme too, so there's another good reason for the roast. We always have our dinner in the evening and as I'm usually a Monday - Wednesday - Saturday morning runner I have to control my intake on the days before. I've had just over a week off due to the weather and having a cold and must admit I've made the most of that opportunity (plus I'm sure you're supposed to feed a cold?). Just two more runs for you and you'll be reaching graduation! Well done again!

Thanks very much Alast.

You are spot on I think in that good to have a treat sometimes, and it’s good to earn it and not feel bad.

Can’t believe we’ve got this far in the programme already !

Hope you’ve recovered from your cold, happy running.
