W6r1 repeat

Found this one really hard last time so thought I should repeat, still found it tough and will probably repeat before the next step! It was also a week before my last run just due to weather and work-but really want to get to the end with it feeling manageable!

Thank you. I am doing almost a trot, so I am slow but will repeat until it’s a bit more comfortable 😊

I loved week 4 then nearly gave up in week 6 and after that it felt just right

Good luck

Well week 6 run 1 catches loads of people out and so then you just slog through and it’s done, it’s after that that it starts to get better well for me it did, i loved the longer snail 🐌 pace runs but never had anything left at the end then suddenly once graduated it didn’t matter how long or short a time we ran for and now i can keep going slowly with bursts of speed for over half hour and really enjoy it, so i’m sure you will get to the end of the programme with as big a smile as i did

Well done DaisyCL for sticking with it. The advice I would give is plenty of fluids and run slow. I also took to having at least two bananas everyday. You can do this and will do it. Make sure you have rest days and even now a year after graduation I still don’t run on successive days. Good luck and enjoy. I run with music and sing at times to help with pacing. I found it helped me.

Not sure singing would help me😂 always have rest days but want to be out there but am listening and learning from you experts who have been here. Should I repeat until

It’s easier or go on to the next run? Thank you!

I also found if I completed the run I moved on if I found it hard I went slower on the next one. Sure you will be fine. Slow and steady along with plenty of fluids you can do this.

Maybe try moving on to W6R2? Run 1 is horrible for many so you are far from alone. You may surprise yourself! Xxx

Thank you! Just wary of moving onto the next one before I have mastered the first one..? As there get longer do t want to feel unprepared before leaving.

I found W6R1 REALLY tough. It was the point in c25k that I joined this forum, because up to then I had managed each run (despite my lack of self belief!). I hadn’t been able to believe that I had done w5r3, and was expecting the next run to be easier because of the intervals. But it was sooooo tough I felt really deflated. But I trusted the plan and took advice from here to slow down, and on I went to complete the plan. Trust the plan, believe in yourself and slow down and stay hydrated. You’ll fly it 🙃

So go onto R2 or repeat R1? Thank you!

Well it’s really up to you, but why don’t you try run 2? Believe in yourself 🏃‍♀️

Ok will go for it and report back tomorrow! 😳😁

Try to relax, go slow. Good luck...the weather is foul!

As long as you've completed the run, I'd try moving on. Your muscles will be better adapted for your next run because of the effort you put into the last one.

Your shout of course, it's your journey. Good luck.

Some great advice already said about slowing right down.

Hope the weather is a bit kinder to planning next week.

Have a good Sunday 😊
