Gosh.. how long have you got... Many many of us... All manner of stuff... and life generally can stop us running also.
I am coming back from a hamstring injury right now.
The good news is, there are exercises you are able to do whilst on the IC, which we will keep you moving and strong and the runs do wait for us also
Very few runners do not get injured at some point, hence the advice in the guide to the plan to be kind to yourself and gently build your body strength back up again, especially after an injury.
In my experience, once injured, you have susceptibilities in that area, so doing appropriate exercises to build strength and resilience are crucial.
As has already been said, we all get injuries at sometime and there's a lot you can do to exercise and strengthen weak areas.
My point is not to ignore injuries or try to get back out too soon. You're better taking a few extra days to fully recover. It may feel frustrating, but it's better for you in the long run (no pun intended 😉). Best wishes.
