Well done Ibot for running continuously for 20 minutes on run Week 5 Run 3, we all knew it was that run when you mentioned 20 minutes in your post. You have a lovely dog.
You are no longer and NOT a couch Ibot, the fact that you have ran the 20 minutes of W5R3 proves that you are now over halfway of your C25K journey to graduating and running the full 30 minutes of W9R3 π
Of course a switch will go and in your words "do a forest Gimp" Tom Hanks, yes you could suddenly find that running is funππππjust take off, it is very important to keep exactly to the program, no harm if you wish to repeat a week.
Those "voices" are what they call here on C25K gremlins, they could be in your head, or any other parts niggling away telling you to stop running, ignore them and tell them to (bleep) off, go run. π π π πππ
Yes Ibot, we have had a bit of a chat today, been nice 'speaking' to you.π My plan for the weekend is on Saturday morning to runπ my third 5k, the first was last Saturday morning when I ran it in a timeβ of 34.21. The second one was on Wednesday morning with a time of 33.40. Two slightly different courses, the first one which I ran last Saturday starts just 10 minute's warm up walk from where I live, the only roads there are, are two quite 'dead end roads' leading into a new housing estate which at the end of the road has a path but no through road through a small wood which at the bottom of a small incline leads to a underpass under a main road, this then continues into another row of new houses around a playground. After that my 5k route is all off road around a Loch and though more woods, at this part the course trees are so thick that some wild animal might attack you, however, all I have seen are some roe deer.
The second 5K that I ran on Wednesday starts 25 minute walk away from where I live, this is the exact same 5K route as an officially run 5K race which takes place every year on the first week of December, it is known as the Cumbernauld Christmas Cracker 5K dash. I ran round that course last Wednesday in a time of 33.40.
On Sunday morning I am going to a Coffee Concert in Glasgow, this is a concert of classical music followed by cakes and a cup of coffee
Sorry for the long post but I have had a good day and am in the mood for writingπ
Lol, I ran this morning as well, very windy. My dog also looks at me as if I have lost the plot, he runs at ease and I.. bright red in the face, heavy breathing and repeatedly saying come on we can do this!!! π Feels great though π
I'm terrible with selfies as well, I think I didn't develop this skill
My dog is too fidgety to make her a photo so only still nature for me. Too be fair probably still nature is also a bit shaky blurr on my photos, as my hands are definitely too shaky after a run
Yes good thanks Ibot π so looks like the running is going very well indeed! Do you feel more confident now youβve cracked the 20 mins? Have you told that ambulance driver he doesnβt need to follow you around anymore...π Hope your ears are feeling better this week too π
ππ funny story in there which I canβt say on here which is a shame ππ
Tbh Iβm still in shock that I can run. Like genuinely π€·π½ββοΈ
Itβs almost like itβs happening to someone else
Hearing is improving. Got consultant appointment for next month but really hoping work will let me back on Friday π€ not worked for a month π±π³π±π³
So have you been doing any advertising for any other companies? I hear there is bakery that could use some cakes being sold ππππ
intriguing! cant believe you're not going to tell me the funny story π€π€¨ Surely there wasn't really an ambulance driver...WAIT!... are you an ambulance driver...!!! π
That's brilliant glad to hear the running is going so well that's fantastic you're a natural. Glad the hearing is improving too, can't believe it's been so long! That must be very difficult with work, nice to have the time off but pretty awkward too π¬
I have been flogging the Nike Run Club app pretty hard lately that's my latest thing... You should try it π
Maybe if I can get enough recruits for them I'll get some Nike sweat bands or other merchandise... I could definitely use the sweatbands π
Nike Run Club is perfect. Itβll track your distance give you an overview of your pace and even make you a cup of tea if you ask nicely βοΈThe guided runs are good too, you can listen to famous runners etc talk to you through you run and motivate you, UNM got me on to it, give it a go! (...One step closer to those Nike sweatbands...)
