W5R3 done! Wowser.

Would NEVER have thought I could run for 20 mins straight without stops. Now absolutely sure that my body is up for this, it’s now just a matter of keeping my focus and determination. My saviour (other than good running shoes and pre run stretching) is thought management...if I think about the time remaining then it prolongs and exaggerates the grind. If I let my mind think of other things, even daft things and lists, then my body plods away whilst I’m distracted, making it all seem quicker and easier! Feel great though!

Brilliant! Well done! 👏👏👏 I remember feeling so elated when I did the 20-min run. It gives you so much confidence. And yes, much of running is in the head, so focussing on something else makes it much easier, and more enjoyable. I have been running for 2.5 years now, and rarely ever obsess about the running whilst running now - I often zone right out and just enjoy it! Keep up the very good work. 👍

Congratulations Incho on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊

Not thinking is definitely the way to go. Well done on that 20 minutes run. Happy running

Good job! Enjoy week 6 :D

Not thinking about it is definitely the key! I'm completely unable to just "switch off" but find a good podcast/audiobook is usually a pretty successful distraction

Well done...and sounds like a good plan...the last time I did 20 minutes I think I disabled myself to begin with and then felt bad that I couldn't do it...onward and upwards as they say :-)

Great going , very well done indeed on completing this milestone run.

Great plan to to think about things other than time remaining. I’m also learning slowly that this also works better for me and now I’m listening to some really good podcasts which do a great job of taking my mind off of time remaining.

Well done, and keep going 👍👍
