Other half came for moral support (I actually think I prefer running on my own ๐คซ).
There is a slight elevation on my usual route around the village that usually doesnโt cause me any trouble with well-timed walking intervals but I got to it around the 11th minute and I started to think I might not get through it. But I slowed down a bit and tried to distract my brain with other things and I managed it! I managed it all!!
Now for that pesky week 6...... ๐ช๐ป

Well done in completing that 20 minute run of week 5 and at the time of day you ran it. Anyone now running before 6am will now find that it is getting dark.
Wooooo well done you! Hoping to follow you in smashing that rather intimidating milestone on Friday! And extra well done for dealing with the hill, I am forever grateful I started the programme after moving somewhere totally flat...
Oh I know what you mean about running on your own! For weeks 8 and 9 I moved into the gym as it was just ridiculously hot. This meant Husband decided to join me, not having run for years (well quarter of a century actually!) it was terribly worrying watching him. He struggled to get the treadmill working properly, he didnโt really have the correct shoes, he wanted to TALK and I was convinced he was going to go flying off the end.
Iโm back to running outdoors and on my own, aaaah lovely! Running is not just about the physical stuff, itโs the headspace as well!
