Run 1 of week 5 is done. Those 5 minute runs are still a challenge but I’m excited to be progressing.

Aches and pains are slowly subsiding and I feel like I’m recovering more quickly after each run.

To anyone starting out and experiencing aches and pain - it does get better!!

Well done for completing the first run of W5! I'm one run away from the end of W4 and although I know that things start to change next week, I'm forbidding myself from looking what lies ahead and am trying to just trust the programme. (Up to now I have looked ahead in a way of 'preparation' but really think that's worked against me mentally). Glad to hear that your aches and pains are easing off and agree with you that as we move on through this, the recovery does seem much quicker. All the best for the next run, don't forget to let us know how it goes.

I found W4 to be far more difficult than W5 so far, it looks more of a jump than it really is and is more rewarding. I was definitely glad to see that back of W4 🤣.

Thank you, that is really reassuring, I'm starting to look forward to W5 now! (Although I still won't literally look forward to it and see what it entails!)

Amazing! Well done! Glad to hear that you’re also noticing the other benefits in terms of recovery time. I’ve really struggled with knee pain so I took a weeks break and am back on it with some knee supports now! Good luck with the rest of week 5!
