Good Luck Paul, just take it slow and steady, no pressure.

Happy New Year, Paul. With such a lovely leggings/shoe combination, you can only succeed! Go for it. You can do it - ring in 2016 with a 20 minute run!

So I did w5d1 again the 3 x 5 minute runs, was OK but my lower back pain is really becoming off-putting. Today was the first time I didn't count the seconds in my head until the next walk, I think that was actually counterproductive and just switching off and listening to music and Laura was much better. I also did half of the route on muddy tracks which was silly as it was slippery.

I've been reading several running books, the angry jogger, one about a normal 41 yr old man, and the best and heartwarming one was "No run intended" about a new mum and her path to fitness through heartbreak.

Hi Paul. Greetings from the very north coast of Scotland. I also struggled with the sudden jump up to the 20 minute run - surprised it wasn't a 15 minute step-up. Managed it this morning and continued up the hill to watch the sun come up. Very frosty but great view over to Orkney, to the west Cape Wrath to the east John O'Groats. However going to do it a couple more times before I go up to the next week. Never jogged in my life but found that 3rd day tough first time round.
