Wow. That was hard. Leg thigh hurts like hell right now but ran through it. Stretching out helps but still painful. Stamina definitely increasing each time. The hardest run so far.
Run 2 Week 3: Wow. That was hard. Leg thigh... - Couch to 5K
Run 2 Week 3
Well done and keep going, slow and steady is the way to go 👍
Well done, nice and slow and you are getting stronger with every run
As everyone else says- slow and steady. Make sure you do sufficient warm up and down exercises. Monitor your thigh pain. Happy running
You did it though! Well done 👏
Well done 😁
Well done. Remember though, we all run through aches and twinges, but if you're in real pain, don't ignore it, and don't use painkillers to allow you to keep going. You could easily end up doing yourself an injury that could keep you out of action for weeks.
A foam roller and/or Epsom salts in the bath might help. Take extra rest days if you need to. Good luck.
We’re at the same stage. Found today hard too. 2 minutes into the last 3 minute run and the going got tough for me.
Probably not helping myself taking the dog. I have one of those jogging leads. He loves coming with me but he’s obsessed nay hates cats.
So as well as running I seem to be doing resistance training trying either to stop him pulling me over or trying to eat our neighbours beloved felines Might have rethink taking him with me.
I’ve used the treadmill at the gym and must say I find it much easier on the treadmill even though I sweat buckets doing it.
Well done for smashing through the half way point of Week 3, it all starts ramping up a bit here doesn't it, but as you say, so does your stamina. As you've already been told (no, not slow down, just take that as read) be careful with your pains. It may pay you to have an extra rest day or two before your next outing, if you go and injure yourself by pushing on when you shouldn't it could set you back much longer than that. Hopefully the stretches/foam roller/extra rest will do the trick and you will be soon back on here telling us all how easy W3 R3 was! I look forward to hearing all about it.
