Having reached R2 week 4 towards the end of last year, I stopped due to arthritis. Started again on 6th Jan. I've got to week 4 r1 and attempted r2 today and just cannot get that second 5 minute run out!!! I'm cross with myself. Its just the breathing issue! The gym is pretty warm, with dry air and that hasn't helped! Tonight, I'm going to attempt to complete wk4 r2 outdoors and see if I can break through that breathing barrier! I'm not a fast runner, more sloth like but I have to push my brain in to telling my lungs they're not going to pop like a woopee cushion! Grrrrrr!!!! Annoyed!

If you can't breathe, slow down more, to the easy conversational pace described in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Breathing shouldn't be hard, if it is you are going way too fast. I do all my runs outside, fantastic and free. I really hope you can slow down and enjoy your run tonight. Happy running
