Checking in and weight loss

Hey Everybody,

I’m continuing to consolidate before starting the bridge to 10k next week, mostly doing 30 minute runs but mixing it up by tacking bits on the end or running intervals. Still very slow but I think I am getting stronger. I’m in it for the long haul now so it will be interesting to see how I improve over time. Since I came back from holiday I have managed to drop 7 lbs which is great, I’m nearly back on track to my December weight goal. I’m still a lot overweight though but time will pass and it will come, reading some of the stories on here about life changing weight loss and fitness goals I s inspiring and I hope to join your ranks in the months to come.

Happy Running everyone.

Tim

Great on continuing your consolidation runs Rigpig. Weight loss is very like building up our running , you have to be very patient as I found out . Good luck with starting b210k 😊😊

Great work. 10k plan is brilliant, all those mixed up distances. Great effort on weight loss too 🎉🙆‍♀️

Good to hear the consolidation is going well, and the weight loss - I must start to focus on that as well. Keep us informed of your progress on both 👍😁

I put on 8 lbs over my holiday which I find hard to believe as I didn't go that mad! I think a lot of it was fluid as I got weighed to soon after arriving back. Anyway I'm in a routine now with a defined exercise plan and a calorie intake which is not a hardship, I should start seeing a regular drop in weight every week. I have been keeping measurements as well and these are changing for the better all the time. Most importantly my clothes are getting loose. I predict that I will be in some older / smaller trousers by the end of Feb :-)

Glad you are still running, you might still be overweight but i bet you have toned up, we look a lot slimmer even though haven’t really lost weight, we weren’t aiming to lose ,

And you are fitter and stronger, so it’s a win win situation and well worth continuing, enjoy the magic 10

Definitely toning up, I'm 6'3" so I don't look like I'm hugely overweight but all the extra is around my torso so when it starts to go It's very noticeable. I've yoyoed in weight all my adult life and it's always crept back up, with the regular running it will be different this time. I have found an exercise that I never really considered and I enjoy it more than I would ever have believed :-)
