That wasn’t so bad apart from I felt something go in my tendon!! I had to abort the last run and hobble home. It has to heal by thurs. next run. Any tip greatly received. I don’t want to stop cause if I do I won’t start again.

... but if you do run and it is still painful, you risk making it worse. Sorry to hear this has happened to you 🙁. Where does it hurt? Ice can help if you have pulled a muscle (a bag of frozen peas for 10 mins or so 3x a day) but you really shouldn’t run if that is the case. If it is still painful after a few days rest, do go see a GP or sports physio (if you can). But most of all, don’t give up. I cannot tell you the number of injuries I have had to rest up from! You can always get back to the running, it is not going anywhere! One thing I have learned since starting to run is patience. And knowing when to listen to my body and when not to run...Hope it is feeling much better soon.
It’s right on my tendon. I will be sensible although that will be hard!! How do you get motivated again after resting?
It’s that bit just above the heel but not your calf. Hope that makes sense.
