Much is in the mind!

Just finished W3R3 and starting to enjoy it now. Better running shoes and pre-run stretching is helping. Biggest change is what I think whilst I run! For the first few weeks each run was hard because I was almost counting the time until the end - making it seem a slow and long grind. Now I think of other strange things that occupy my mind (eg - favourite ever gigs, remember all my previous holidays, to-do list, etc). My mind wanders but Laura (my coach) interrupts me to tell me to stop running... Much better than willing the end of the run to come....try it!

It's great that you are seeing and appreciating this benefit of running. I find I zone out and switch off as it's what I need to do. I listen to music or the radio as I run and I just take it one step at a time. I'm moving on to week 4 next too! Enjoy your running 😊🏃‍♀️

I agree. The first week I couldn’t believe how ling it took for a minute or so to pass!

Yes, I used to do that. I counted, I used to lose count and start again, it was bonkers. So I started to listen to anything to distract me from counting, music, podcasts, radio. And look around at whatever the scenery is. Then it becomes enjoyable 👍😁
